Money Management

I blog about shopping and spending money but I feel like I have to make a disclaimer. I am a firm believer in properly managing your credit and being fiscally responsible. When I talk about shopping I hope you understand that I am talking about shopping responsibly and only buying what you can afford.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my credit cards. But I make sure that I know exactly what I am spending and how much I can afford to spend. I got into debt on my credit cards when I was right out of college. It took me several years to get out of the hole I dug for myself.

The good thing about the experience was that I learned my lesson about credit cards and managing my money. Since that time I have developed a good credit score and have been able to get cards and loans when I needed them over the years. Credit can be so vital to things like buying a car or a house that you really need to pay attention to what you are doing. Employers are even checking credit scores now. The bottom line is be careful with your credit.
